Arthur Bleich
Arthur Bleich is an award-winning photographer, writer and educator, and an acknowledged expert on digital photography. His photographs have appeared worldwide in newspapers, magazines and books and he has written hundreds of articles for Digital Camera (as their feature editor for nearly a decade), Pop Photo, CNET, MacLife, Rangefinder, After Capture and many others.

He began his career free-lancing for Time-Life and other magazines in New York and then covered Alaska for Globe Photos Agency. Next, while serving as an officer-photographer in the U.S. Coast Guard, he received one of the most prestigious national photojournalism awards for his creative coverage of an Antarctic expedition.

Subsequently, he joined the faculty of Marquette University where, as an associate professor, he was twice named Outstanding Educator of America, a national honor. Prior to that, he was also the recipient of a coveted Fulbright Grant to Ethiopia where he taught photography. Arthur lives in Miami and is owned by a dozen or so cats which occasionally deign to pose for him.
Steven Katzman
Steven Katzman is a world-renowned photographer, writer and educator whose photo book The Face of Forgiveness has received widespread acclaim. He is a consummate camera artist with an awesome command of technique and recently received a grant to document Newtown, an African American community in Florida.

The beautifully crafted images of his subjects are unique and he will discuss how they were made as well as giving attendees direction in how to become involved in personal projects that can lead to exhibits and books. He will also teach fine arts printing and lend his considerable expertise to the critiquing process.

Steven is represented in permanent collections of major art museums throughout the world, writes regularly for professional photographic publications and has had a portfolio of his work purchased by the George Eastman House International Center of Photography. He is an adjunct faculty member at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fl, and lives there with his wife, Sharon, and their four dogs.
Natalie Dybisz
Natalie Dybisz (Miss Aniela) is a young photographer from the UK who stunned the art world by using Flickr to showcase her imaginative, multiple-shot self-portraits, breaking with the tradition of spending years as struggling, unknown artist. In a short period of time, she had developed a huge following that catapulted her to one-woman gallery shows and guest appearances at photographic venues throughout the world.

She's a member of Blurb's Pro Council of artists, creating art books using Blurb's BookSmart software, and will show attendees how to get started on publishing their own photo book. (All attendees will receive gift certificates from Blurb that will cover the costs of their first book.)

Natalie will also demonstrate the technique of producing her famous clone images, from set-up to finished image. Her latest book, Miss Aniela: Self-gazing may be previewed here. Natalie lives in Brighton, on the Southeast coast of England, with her partner Matthew.
Ron Wolfe
Ron Wolfe has an advanced degree in mathematics and was heavily involved with building and maintaining computers for over 25 years before developing a serious interest in photography. As he picked up technical skills, his work began to show an impeccable eye for the unusual and his images quickly began to receive recognition for their fine design elements.

He has received many major awards for his images and has been with the workshop for five years where he teaches and assists attendees with computer problems or with photography or imaging procedures that require going through in detail on a one-on-one basis.

Ron and his wife have just built a home and set up a studio in New Mexico, a state where many photographers have migrated due to the spectacular quality of light and the depth of the artistic community. Although his main interests are photography and computers, he is also an accomplished woodcarver.
Dan Loffler

Dan Loffler is best known for his Photoshop expertise but in working as a creative art director for major print and web clients he has also mastered many other applications.

During the last workshop, Dan conducted personalized small-group and one-on-one Photoshop sessions to help attendees with their individual imaging needs. He’ll be doing more of these this time around so if you have a “problem” photo you need a solution for, he’ll be available to sit down with you to explain, step-by-step, how to handle it.

Although Dan calls South Florida “home,” he’s frequently on the move, consulting for corporations that need help with color management, web development, printing and other aspects of imaging  He’s even traveled as far as Seoul, South Korea to teach Photoshop classes.

Note: The Workshop reserves the right to substitute instructors in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury or personal emergency.
